OUR ASSIGNMENT TO OFFER SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES
When we speak of offering spiritual sacrifices, we are not suggesting that Christ’s sacrifice was incomplete. Hebrews 10:10–14 and 9:26 declare that Jesus offered Himself once for all, fully and finally putting away sin nothing can be added to the cross.
When 1 Peter 2:5 calls us, a holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices, it is not speaking of atonement, but of worship.
As Hebrews 13:15 and Romans 12:1 explain, our praise to God, our obedience to God, and even our willingness to share the resources
He has entrusted us with are spiritual sacrifices offered not to earn salvation, but to honor and please Him because we have already been redeemed through Christ.
