The priesthood of Jesus Christ did not end at the cross it continues actively, intentionally, and eternally. Many understand what He has done, but fewer understand what He is doing now. According to Hebrews 7:24–25, He holds His priesthood permanently because He lives forever, and because of this, He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

This reveals that His priesthood is not static it is active. He is not a former High Priest; He is a present and functioning intercessor.

Hebrews 8:1–2 clarifies where this ministry takes place: in the true tabernacle, in heaven itself, not in an earthly structure made by human hands. His ministry is not symbolic it is occurring in the highest reality, where He ministers directly before the Father.

Hebrews 9:11–12 declares that He entered once for all into the Most Holy Place, not with the blood of animals, but with His own blood, securing eternal redemption. This single act accomplished what countless sacrifices under the old system could never achieve.

Hebrews 9:24 reinforces this truth, stating that Christ has entered heaven itself to appear in the presence of God for us. This means your name, your life, and your standing are represented before the Father continuously through Him.

This is echoed in 1 John 2:1, where He is described as our Advocate with the Father, and in Romans 8:34, which declares that He is at the right hand of God interceding for us.

This is the ongoing ministry of Christ He is speaking on your behalf, representing you before the Father, and ensuring that what He accomplished is continually applied.

The implication for the believer is profound. You are not navigating your walk with God alone. You are being upheld by a living High Priest who is actively interceding for you.

This calls for alignment.

If Christ is continually interceding, then your life must reflect agreement with His intercession. You are called not only to receive from His priesthood, but to mature into a life that reflects its reality one of access, alignment, and spiritual responsibility.

You are not disconnected from heaven.

You are being sustained by it.

And through Him, you are called to walk with confidence, knowing that your standing before God is not based on performance, but on a living, active, and eternal High Priest who never ceases to intercede.

I encourage you to walk in that assurance.
