At the heart of priesthood is intercession, the act of standing between God and humanity. This is not passive prayer; it is active spiritual responsibility. It is the posture of one who carries both access to God and burden for people.

Jesus Christ embodies this perfectly. As revealed in Hebrews 7:25, He lives continually to make intercession. This means His priesthood is not distant; it is actively engaged on behalf of those connected to Him.

Intercession is not reserved for a select few; it is a defining function of those who operate in priesthood. It requires awareness, sensitivity, and willingness to stand in the gap even when it is inconvenient or unseen.

In Ezekiel 22:30, God declares that He searched for a man to stand in the gap, but found none. This reveals the weight of this responsibility. Heaven is looking for those who will position themselves between what is and what should be.

Operating in intercession means you do not live self-centered, you live aware of heaven’s agenda and earth’s condition.

It is here that authority is forged.

Because those who consistently stand before God for others are entrusted with influence that cannot be manufactured.

If you are called to this order, you are called to intercede.

Not occasionally but consistently.
